Valerie Wang obtained her Bachelor's in Honours Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University. Her thesis research concerned the phenotyping of GWAS- dentified candidate genes for immunological disorders, and she continues to study genomics in her Master's programme at the University of Cambridge.
In 2018, Valerie received a DAAD RISE scholarship to help research the effects of the circadian rhythm on histological manifestations of epidermolysis bullosa acquisita in the LIED working group of Prof. Dr. med. vet. Jennifer Hundt.
