Sabrina Patzelt studied Molecular Life Sciences (B.Sc.) and Infection Biology (M.Sc.) at the University of Luebeck. She obtained her PhD in the department of dermatology, where she investigated new mouse models for mucous membrane pemphigoid and their underlying pathomechanisms as well as new therapeutic strategies. The dissertation led to the development of a novel experimental mouse model that reflects major clinical and immunopathological characteristics of the human autoimmune disease anti-Laminin 332 mucous membrane pemphigoid.
